They told me she wasn't quite 3 (really, she was probably alot older). According to the Wards, she had been bitten by a brown recluse spider which had eaten away the flesh in her leg, but they assured me this was no big deal and she just needed to finish taking her antibiotics. Long story short, within a few days of adopting her, I found her laying on my living room floor lifeless with a 105F temperature. Alone, I had to struggle to rush her to an ER vet for treatment. The 2-3 days of hospitalization cost me over $2k. Then when I was bringing her back in for regular check ups (she had to have her bandage changed 3 x a week at $40 a pop), they found she had mammary cancer. This was all within a month of adopting my sweet dane. It didn't stop there...I was livid and called the Wards' on it. They denied any knowledge or responsibility. They did offer to exchange her...there was no way I was taking her back there. I had her until May of this year, and she was my sweetest love.
